Biobased and social innovation to revitalise European local communities (BIOLOC) project is funded under Horizon Europe Programme and it aims at advancing the role and impact of social innovation to revitalise European local communities and accelerate the transition to the circular bioeconomy (CBE) in 12 European regions (IT, NL, ES, DE, GR, BG, SK, SL, HR, HU, RO, CZ).

 

The specific objectives of the BIOLOC partnership are:

  • Launch of local initiatives: co-creation of a fact-based set of tailored, shared and scalable approaches and measures to foster the inclusion of marginalised groups in biobased value chains;
  • BIOLOC hubs establishment to strengthen local development through inclusive and innovative CBE;
  • Promote and capitalise dissemination of acquired knowledge and further promote similar initiative based on the acquired knowledge;
  • State of the art analysis of the biobased value chains;
  • Catalogue of proposed solutions to valorise local CBE potential and un-unused assets.
