In 2022 the bioeconomy in Europe (France, Germany, Italy and Spain) generated an output of about €1,740 billion in 2022, employing over 7.6 million people.
It's what emerges from the 9th Report on the Bioeconomy in Europe 2023, prepared by the Studies and Research Department of Intesa Sanpaolo, in collaboration with the Italian Circular Bioeconomy Cluster SPRING and Federchimica-Assobiotec presented during “Circular Bioeconomy as a Main Pillar of the Ecological Transition”.
The event hosted by Mr Carlo Fidanza of the European Conservatives and Reformists Group, was held today at the European Parliament in Brussels.
